From the 5th century to modern day, join Mrs. Cheese at Millvale Market (a woman-owned local grocery shop) for a deep dive into women’s history in the world of cheese! Mrs. Cheese will lead the class through a tasting of five cheeses sourced from both Europe and the United States. Learn about the feminine origins behind the word dairy, find out how the creator of havarti paved the way for women cheesemakers, and more! Sprezzatura will provide appetizers and it’s BYOB, so please bring your favorite beverages.
